Privacy policy

1. Who we are

Animalrounds is operated by BV Fisser, a company incorporated in Belgium, company and VAT number BE 0882.030.896, registered office in Baardegem, Belgium (the "Controller"). Contact: info@animalrounds.com. We process personal data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, Regulation (EU) 2016/679) and the Belgian Act of 30 July 2018 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data.

2. What data we process

Account data: e-mail address, name, avatar, phone number and language preference. Authentication data from Google or Apple when you choose to sign in with those providers (identifier, e-mail, name).

Organisation data: organisation name, type, address, VAT number, logo and membership roles.

Animal data: profiles, pedigree, medical records, medications, feeding plans, care requirements, behaviour notes, contacts (which may contain personal data of third parties such as vets or farriers), placements, tasks, time entries, photos, videos and documents.

Usage data: server logs (IP address, browser, timestamps) kept for security, and privacy-friendly aggregate analytics via Plausible (no cookies, no cross-site tracking).

Billing data: subscription status and a Stripe customer identifier. Card details are processed by Stripe and never stored by us.

3. Why and on which legal basis

Providing the service you asked for (performance of a contract, art. 6(1)(b) GDPR): accounts, organisations, animal profiles, task coordination, notifications, e-mails such as invitations and reminders.

Billing and accounting (legal obligation, art. 6(1)(c)).

Security, abuse prevention and product improvement (legitimate interest, art. 6(1)(f)).

Optional marketing e-mails (consent, art. 6(1)(a)); you can withdraw consent at any time.

4. Where your data lives

Data is stored in the European Union (Supabase, region Frankfurt, Germany). Our processors are Supabase (database, authentication, storage), Vercel (hosting), Stripe (payments), Resend (transactional e-mail), Apple (push notifications) and Plausible (analytics, EU). Where a processor transfers data outside the EEA, Standard Contractual Clauses apply. A Data Processing Agreement is available for organisations on request.

5. Sharing within Animalrounds

Animalrounds is built around controlled sharing: animal data is visible to the owner organisation and to organisations the owner has granted a placement to, limited to the chosen scope (care, medical, transport or view). Owners can revoke access at any time. Each organisation is responsible for the data its members enter about third parties (e.g. contacts).

6. Retention

Data is kept as long as your account or organisation exists. When an organisation is deleted its data is erased; activity history relating to animals transferred to another owner is retained with that animal. Server logs are kept for 30 days, invoices for 7 years as required by Belgian law. You can export your organisation's data as JSON from Settings.

7. Your rights

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection, and the right to withdraw consent. Use the Settings page (export, delete account) or contact info@animalrounds.com. You may lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (Gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit, Drukpersstraat 35, 1000 Brussels, www.gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit.be).

8. Cookies

We only use strictly necessary cookies: your session (authentication), your selected organisation and your language. No advertising or tracking cookies are set.

9. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes are announced in the app or by e-mail before they take effect.
